Bert "Fel" Felstead was an illustrator and animation director.

Felstead appears to have entered comics after working as an animator at G-B Animation in the forties, where he directed the nine-part Animaland series. In 1956 he took over from Hugh McNeill on strip "Teddy & Cuddly", which ran in Jack and Jill. In 1961 he began drawing "Leo the Friendly Lion" for Playhour, and in 1967 he started work on "Fliptail the Otter" in Jack and Jill.

In the seventies Felstead collaborated with Ian Gammidge on Little Joe, a strip that ran in the Daily Mirror.[1]
