David (Dave) Anderson was born in Coventry, graduated from Durham University in 1985 and briefly lived in Charlotte, North Carolina. Returning to the UK, he worked in advertising while writing Future Shocks for 2000 AD and self-publishing his own comic, Bastard Bunny (1990), drawn initially by Jiouxliegh Jacobs, later by Martyn Smith. The character appeared on t-shirts etc in the early 90s London club scene, as well as in Deadline and the NME. A Bastard Bunny collection, “Don’t You Know Who I Am? The Collected Works”, was published by Virgin Books in 1998. In 2000 he co-founded animation studio 12Foot6 which has produced Bastard Bunny animations as well as the BAFTA-nominated The Terribles and Channel 4’s Modern Toss.
