"The Black and White World of Shirley Grey", Tammy, 1981

Diane Gabbott was born Diana Clair Baldwin in Hendon, Middlesex, on 16 June 1934, daughter of Andrew J. Baldwin and his wife Barbara E., née Carpenter. She married Raymond F. Gabbott in Harrow, Middlesex, in the third quarter of 1956. She drew for IPC's girls' titles, including Tammy and Jinty in the 1970s and 80s. Strips she drew include "The Waxworks Mystery", "The Black and White World of Shirley Grey" (Tammy), "A Girl Called Steve" and "The Fairground of Fear". She died in Thanet, Kent, in the first quarter of 2002.
