"Dreamy Daniel" meets music hall star Harry Rogerson, Lot-O'-Fun, 1908, drawn by George Davey

Dreamy Daniel, a tramp who went on adventures in his dreams, first appeared in Lot-o'-Fun on 17 March 1906, drawn by George Davey. He became so popular he transferred to the stage, played by music hall comedian Harry Rogerson - and Daniel met Rogerson in comic strip form in Lot-O'Fun on 24 October 1908. Davey drew the character into the 1920s, and he was revived as Dreamy Dennis in Jingles in 1944, where he was drawn by Charlie Pease and others.

Not to be confused with another strip called Dreamy Daniel from Sparky.
