Cecel Elaine Jackson, daughter of the comic artist A. E. Jackson, was born on 14 December 1903 in Upper Holloway, London. She studied at Hastings Art School, along with her sister Muriel, and both sisters followed in their father's footsteps. Elaine drew for Tiger Tim's Weekly, Rainbow and Playbox, and was on staff at the Amalgamated Press until 1936, when she left to marry Douglas Jones, after which she appears to have stopped working as an artist. She died in Hastings in April 1986.
