Hadrian Vile was a regular character in Oink! from 1986 to 1988.

Hadrian was a child fascinated by disgusting things, who considered himself an "interleckshual" and liked to mock the people around him. In other words, he was basically an ordinary seven-year-old.
His original strip - comprising misspelled first-person narration in a misaligned typewriter font, accompanied by Ian Jackson's illustrations - was The Sekret Diary ov Hadrian Vile aged 7 5/8 (years), aged-up to 8 5/8 when the comic marked its first birthday. The strip would later break away from the strict diary format and appear under a variety of names. A later short series, Vidiots, featured Hadrian's observations on various TV genres.
