Eira Richards (formerly known as Irina Richards) is a comics and manga artist and writer based in the Welsh Marches, who belongs to the manga-inspired collective Sweatdrop Studios.
She moved to the UK in 2004 before joining Sweatdrop in 2009[1] and publishing her first two-volume manga Chemical Blue. Since then, Richards' work has appeared in Telling Tales, Creating Manga Characters, The Drop, NEO Magazine, and The Lockdown Lowdown. In 2019, her word was shortlisted for the LDC Comics Prize. Richards' 2022 graphic novel, The Witch-Hare, is inspired by Welsh folklore. As of 2024, she is working on a long-form graphic novel, Between Storms, set in the Hebrides in the 8th century.
