"Little Mo and her Magic Pencil", Hello You!, 1990
Janet Ahlberg was born Janet Elizabeth M. Hall in Leicester on 21 October 1944. She met Allan Ahlberg while training as a teacher at Sunderland Technical College, and they married in 1969. Together they created numerous children's books, Allan writing and Janet drawing, and also created comic strips for magazines including Hello You! in Holland. She died of cancer on 13 December 1994.
