John Ridgway is an artist who has worked for the US and UK markets.

Born in 1940, Ridgway became a full-time comic artist in 1984, after having previously contributed to Commando (his first story for the comic being "Mustang Ace"[1]). He went on to contribute to 2000 AD and Judge Dredd Megazine, amongst other things co-creating "Calhab Justice", a Megazine strip written by Jim Alexander.

He also drew for Doctor Who and the British Transformers series; his work for the US market includes the DC series Hellblazer, on which he was the first artist.[2] in the nineties he worked with US writer James Hudnall on Age of Heroes, a comic for the American publisher Image; he subsequently colourised this comic for Strip Magazine.[1]
