Dreddlawman

Judge Dredd: Lawman of the Future was a short-lived comic published fortnighty by Fleetway from 1995 to 1996, lasting for twenty-three issues.[1]

As its title suggests, it starred the 2000 AD character Judge Dredd. It was actually the second publication devoted to the character, who was also appearing concurrently in Judge Dredd Megazine; the chief distinction is that Lawman of the Future was based on the 1995 live action Judge Dredd film starring Sylvester Stallone, and targeted a younger audience.

This resulted in a somewhat more family-friendly tone, with the first issue telling its readers that "Judge Dredd never kills, except in extreme cases of self defence".[2]

Dredd's co-creator, John Wagner, provided the comic's first story.[3]
