"Our Merry Mannikins", Comic Cuts, 1906012

Percy Maycock was born in Manchester in the third quarter of 1869. By 1901 he was married, living in Twickenham and working as a black and white artist. He drew "Our Merry Mannikins" (1906-12) in Comic Cuts. By 1911 he had moved to Wescliff, Essex, and he and his wife Emily had had a daughter, Barbara. He died in Holborn, London, in the fourth quarter of 1917, aged 48.
