Scraps was a weekly comic paper published by James Henderson & Sons from 29 August 1883 to 1910, when it was renamed Merry Thought. It was titled 'Scraps' because it was compiled in the manner of a scrapbook from various items subtitled 'Literary and Pictorial, Curious and Amusing'.
Early issues featured art by Tom Browne (under the name Vandyke Browne). Strips included:
- "Mr Knowall" (1909, George Davey)
- "The Doings of Dolly" (1909, Pip Martin)
Material from Scraps was reprinted illegally in early editions of Alfred Harmsworth's Comic Cuts.
