'''Tom Paterson''' is a Scottish artist who works in a style elaborated from [[Leo Baxendale]]'s later work. He started working in comics while still at school, and has worked extensively for both [[IPC]] and [[DC Thomson]]. He is best known for drawing "[[Sweeny Toddler]]" in ''[[Shiver and Shake]]'', ''[[Whoopee!]]'', ''[[Whizzer and Chips]]'' and ''[[Buster]]'' (1974-1990), and "[[Calamity James]]" in ''[[The Beano]]'' (1986-).
