The Torture Twins were characters created by David Haldane and appearing in Oink! between 1986 and 1988. The strips were typically no more than three panels and showed the twins taking great pleasure in torturing their victims in imaginative ways. It was never explained why.
A figure resembling David Haldane himself was depicted in the strip several times as one of the twins' victims.
